They have announced a _plan_ to phase out floppy disks within two years. The source article on Engadget, and the FAA project page, list a lot of very aggressive targets to hit by 2028 but they are just that, targets. The phrasing is very misleading.
And its name should start with Trump: "Trump Floppy Disk Memorial".
With its well-known security advantages over sneakernet.Just think, instead of fridges set to 50C, all the planes trying to be in the same bit of airspace at once...
