What We Collect

ReadFlow.Org stores account data you provide, including username, email, and profile fields. We also store your saved articles, submitted URLs, tags, notes, read/archive status, and sharing preferences.

Browser Extension Data

The ReadFlow browser extension lets you save pages to your ReadFlow library. When you use the extension, it may send the current page URL, canonical URL, page title, description, image URL, site name, and tags you enter to ReadFlow.Org. The extension stores a local login token, a local device identifier, save preferences, cached saved-state data, and a retry queue in your browser storage so it can keep you signed in and retry saves that fail temporarily.

The extension does not monitor every page you visit in the background. It reads page metadata only when you use a ReadFlow save action or open the extension popup for the current tab. It ignores ReadFlow pages, browser internal pages, extension marketplace pages, local development URLs, files, mail links, phone links, and other unsupported URL types.

How We Use Data

We use account data to authenticate users, show profile pages, and support saved article, browser extension, import, and submission workflows. We use saved page metadata to create and display your library, fetch readable article content when needed, apply tags and notes, and avoid duplicate saves. We use operational logs to diagnose reliability, security, and abuse issues.

Cookies

ReadFlow.Org uses secure session cookies for login and account security. These cookies are required for authenticated features.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. We do not transfer user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. We may disclose data when required by law, to protect service security and users, or as part of operating the ReadFlow.Org service.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

ReadFlow.Org uses information received from Chrome APIs only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose: saving pages to your ReadFlow read-later library. The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

The browser extension sends data to ReadFlow.Org over HTTPS. Extension tokens can be revoked from the extension or account settings. Keep your browser profile and ReadFlow account secure because anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to use stored extension access.

Data Retention

Account and saved-library records are retained while your account is active and for reasonable operational and security periods afterward. Local extension data remains in your browser until you log out, clear extension storage, or remove the extension.

Your Choices

You can update your profile details and account settings from your account pages. You can delete saved items from your library, log out of the browser extension, revoke extension access, or uninstall the extension. For account and privacy requests, use the contact page.
