With a price tag of $500 million, the rights will likely go to a major label. As a result, Sony seems to be a viable participant.
If the deal takes place, it would see almost half of Warner Bros. owned assets sold to Sony. To begin with the music, the catalog reportedly includes music from movies such as Sweeney Todd, Purple Rain, Rent, and Evita. What is even more shocking is the inclusion of music from several Batman movies.
Additionally, the song As Time Goes By from the movie Casablanca is also believed to be a part of the deal. These songs are among the few on the list. The entire list remains a mystery.
