Tesla released its delivery and production figures for the second quarter of 2023 on Sunday morning, July 2, 2023, according to which it will be able to produce approximately 480,000 cars and deliver more than 466,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2023.

The figures were well above analysts' expectations and indicate that deliveries for Tesla are up nearly 83% year-on-year after Elon Musk's auto business ramped up manufacturing capacity and ramped up production at its vehicle assembly plant in Austin, Texas.

According to data released by Tesla, the Model 3 and Y were delivered in the second quarter at 446,915 and the Model S and X were delivered at 19,225.

During the second quarter of last year, Tesla made 254,695 deliveries, and in the first quarter of 2023, Tesla made 422,875 deliveries.

This surpasses Tesla's previous record of 422,000 vehicles, which the automaker achieved in the first quarter of 2023.

After releasing the figures of Tesla delivery numbers q2 2023, Tesla further said that Tesla will post its financial results for the second quarter of 2023 after the close of the market on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
