No-Confidence Motion Against Power Minister Defeated in Parliament
The no-confidence motion brought by the opposition against Minister of Power Kumara Jayakody was defeated in Parliament yesterday (10) by a majority of 104 votes.
The debate on the motion was held throughout the day, and during the vote held around 6.00 p.m., 153 votes were cast against the motion, while only 49 votes were cast in favor.
