The country-rock musician explained why he was promoting his tour by giving a tour of his Nashville, Tennessee office. In Kid Rock's explanation, he said that people like him get "suppressed" on the internet and also shouted out his 32-year-old son, Robert James Ritchie, Jr. This comes as Kid Rock slashed ticket prices by 50% for his Rock The Country music festival.

"He told me, 'Dad, if you want to promote something, you have to put some juicy content in there. Something more than just what you're promoting... so it gets clicks and views," he continued.

"Otherwise, especially somebody like me gets suppressed — probably from my politics, whatever — so I'm taking heed to that, and today to promote the 250 tour, I'm also going to give you a tour of my office," Kid Rock added.

Kid Rock did not specify how he has been "suppressed." The All Summer Long artist is a vocal supporter of President Trump and the Republican Party. He also holds conservative views and tends to bash Democrats and/or liberals.

There has been much controversy surrounding the music festival as several artists originally in the line-up have pulled out. Artists such as Ludacris, Morgan Wade, Carter Faith, Creed, and Shinedown dropped out of the festival. The two-day stop at Anderson, South Carolina, was canceled entirely following the withdrawal of artists.

Recently, Jelly Roll dropped out of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, show on June 28, 2026, citing scheduling conflicts, and Staind will replace him. He is still performing the stops in Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Ashland, Kentucky.
