The ‘Ehipassiko’ Walk for Peace, which has been in motion for the past week, concludes today (April 28).

The state ceremony attended by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is currently underway.

A sapling of the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi, which was ceremonially carried during the walk, will be officially handed over by the President.

Following the ceremony, the 12 monks led by the founder of the American peace walk – Ven. Pannakara Thero will conclude their walk at the Gangarama Temple later in the evening.
