The funeral of Barbara Antoinette Ramanayake, the mother of former Colombo Mayor and former Minister – Rosy Senanayake, will be held tomorrow (April 30) at the General Cemetery in Borella.
Her remains will be kept at “The Respect” funeral parlour in Borella from 5.30 p.m. today (April 29) until 3.30 p.m. tomorrow for the public to pay their final respects.
The funeral cortege is scheduled to leave the funeral parlour at 3.30 p.m. tomorrow, after which the final rites will take place at the Borella Cemetery.
Born on March 21, 1938, she was 88 years old at the time of her passing.

She was the wife of the late Eric Ramanayake and the mother of Jeoffrey, Rosy, Shereen, Ray, Nirmala, and the late Sandra.
She was also the mother-in-law of Nishanthi, Radley, Yolanthi, Nazar, and the late Athula, and a grandmother to Ashika, Kanishka, Sanjaya, Thisakiya, Shehan, Radhya, Ranjaya, Sherali, Rishika, Yenushka, Yoshua, Mariam, Nigel, Rashed, Mohamed, Reem, and Jason.
