The Prince and Princess of Wales have marked their 15th wedding anniversary by sharing a previously unseen family photograph, capturing a relaxed moment in the sunshine.

The intimate snapshot, taken by photographer Matt Porteous, shows William and Kate alongside their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, enjoying a barefoot Easter break in Cornwall.

The image depicts the family of five lying shoulder-to-shoulder on their backs in the grass, with Louis playfully resting his legs on his mother, Kate.

All are dressed in shorts, with the exception of the Princess of Wales.

Their black cocker spaniel, Orla, is visible next to William, accompanied by a brown spaniel whose name remains undisclosed.

The second dog is one that William and Kate kept from a litter of Orla’s puppies. William was pictured with the puppies in a post in 2025 to mark his birthday.

Kensington Palace shared the new photograph on social media, accompanied by the message: "Celebrating 15 years of marriage" and a red heart emoji.

It comes after the prince and princess faced challenging times when Kate was diagnosed with cancer in 2024.

The cancer was discovered while the princess underwent major abdominal surgery, and she later had preventive chemotherapy.

At the time, Kate praised her husband as “a great source of comfort and reassurance”.

She revealed in 2025 that she was in remission, and the family later made a fresh start by moving to a new home, the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, in the autumn.

The couple, who met at St Andrews university, wed in a grand fairytale ceremony in Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011, and kissed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace afterwards to the delight of the crowds.

The bride wore an intricate ivory Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown with lace applique floral detail, while the groom was dressed in the red tunic of the Irish Guards.

William and Kate welcomed their first child and heir George in 2013, followed by Charlotte in 2015 and Louis in 2018.
