Cardiff have signed Namibia centre Le Roux Malan from South African side Sharks.

Malan was born in Windhoek and played two matches for Namibia in the 2023 World Cup in France.

The 27-year-old grew up in South Africa and played in the United States of America with New England Free Jacks, where he won three consecutive Major League Rugby (MLR) titles, and he also had a stint in New Zealand with Hawke's Bay.

Malan joined the Sharks on a season-long deal in November 2025. He has made eight appearances for the United Rugby Championship (URC) side this season and impressed Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl.

"I have always wanted to play my rugby abroad, especially in the UK, so I am excited for the opportunity to learn a new style," said Malan.
