The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has granted bail to 02 members of Sri Lanka’s Under-19 national cricket team, who were arrested over allegations of secretly filming several female doctors while they were bathing in bathrooms at Hotel Janaki in Narahenpita.
The suspects were released on 02 sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.
Police said they have also recorded similar footage involving male individuals, and that investigations are underway to ascertain whether any of the footage has been shared online.
Charges have been filed against 02 students from Trinity College, Kandy, and Joseph Vaz College.

Both suspects are reported to have been occupying the same hotel room at the time of the incident.
It was further disclosed that, under standard protocol, mobile phones of Under-19 team members are typically collected at 7.00 pm by the official in charge.
However, this procedure had reportedly not been adhered to on the day of the incident.
