President Donald Trump said he was reviewing a new peace plan from Iran but threatened the Mideast nation had “not yet paid a big enough price.”

“I will soon be reviewing the plan Iran has just sent to us but can’t imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to humanity, and the world, over the last 47 years,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, the president said that there was a “possibility” he could order more strikes against Iran.

"If they misbehave, if they do something bad – but right now, we'll see. It is a possibility that could happen, certainly," he said.

Trump also said the US could be cutting more than 5,000 troops from Germany as he continued to disagree with chancellor Friedrich Merz over the US-Israeli war against Iran.

The president’s remarks came after a senior Iranian official warned that a renewal of the war was “likely” as fears grew that the ongoing ceasefire could soon collapse.
