Moment United Airlines flight strikes vehicle during landing
A dashcam inside a delivery lorry shows the moment a United Airlines flight clipped the vehicle as it approached Newark Liberty International Airport outside of New York City.
The flight from Venice, Italy landed safely with no reported injuries among the 231 passengers and crew onboard. The lorry driver sustained minor injuries.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident and ordered United Airlines to provide the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder. The airline’s maintenance team is also assessing damage to the aircraft.
