Jimmy Kimmel brands Donald Trump “fat GPT” over Iran War claims
Jimmy Kimmel has scathingly branded Donald Trump as “fat GPT” over his number of claims about the war in Iran.
The talk show host was speaking during the monologue at the start of his show on May 4th, when he customarily took aim at the president and the political events in the US over the past weekend.
This included Trump’s refusal to seek congressional approval over his war in Iran, which is typically a standard requirement once fighting has gone on for more than 60 days.
Showing a clip where the president told a reporter that “no one has ever” sought congressional approval over military action involving the US before, Kimmel pointed out that this has actually happened 11 times previously in history.
To this end, he said: “It must be so freeing to be able to lie with no fact-checking whatsoever. Just say whatever you want. He’s like fat GPT. He just turns out the information.”
This is, of course, far from the first time Kimmel has taken aim at Trump, with various high-profile spats over the past year placing the pair at loggerheads with one another.
Most recently, the talk show host last week called the president a “fat John Wick” after Trump called for his firing for saying the First Lady was an “expectant widow” following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Trump subsequently tried to pile pressure on the network ABC to axe the “seriously unfunny” Kimmel over his comments, saying his firing “better be soon”.
Firing back in the ongoing feud, Kimmel said that Trump’s wrath towards him was only an attempt to cover up other issues, namely what he called the “Trump-Epstein files”, in reference to the president’s alleged attempt to conceal his involvement with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
