The Rolling Stones have officially announced their new album, Foreign Tongues, due out on July 10th via Capitol Records.
Spanning a total of 14 songs, the album was recorded by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in West London. With Andrew Watt serving as producer, the LP also boasts some A-list guest spots from the likes of Paul McCartney, The Cure’s Robert Smith, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Steven Winwood. Additionally, late drummer Charlie Watts appears posthumously on the album thanks to a recording session captured before his passing in 2021.
As a preview, The Rolling Stones have released the album’s lead single, “In the Stars,” alongside the opening track, “Rough and Twisted.” Listen to both songs below.
Foreign Tongues serves as the follow-up to The Stones’ 2023 album Hackney Diamonds. In the lead-up to today’s announcement, the band teased their latest collection of music by releasing “Rough and Twisted” as a limited-edition vinyl release under the name of The Cockroaches.

Pre-orders for Foreign Tongues are ongoing. It remains to be seen whether The Rolling Stones will tour behind the release, but previous reports suggested the band called off dates scheduled in 2026 because Richards was unwilling to “commit” to the rigorous schedule.
