Sleep Token have surprise-released the instrumental version of their latest album ‘Even In Arcadia’ – listen below.

The London masked metal band released their fourth studio album last May, and it went on to score them their first Number One on both the UK Albums chart and the US Billboard 200. ‘Caramel’ also became the band’s first-ever UK top 10 single.

Now, they have shared the instrumental version of the record, which is available on major streaming platforms now, and will be released on coloured vinyl from August 7 – you can pre-order/pre-save your copy here.

Sleep Token have done this before – there have been releases of instrumental versions of their 2019 album ‘Sundowning’ and 2021’s ‘This Place Will Be Your Tomb’, although that is not the case for breakout record ‘Take Me Back To Eden’ in 2023.

As well as the chart success of ‘Even In Arcadia’, it also earned the band their first two Grammy nominations, for Best Metal Performance (for ‘Caramel’) and Best Rock Performance (for ‘Emergence’). Those awards went to Turnstile and Yungblud respectively.

In December, Sleep Token also shared a colouring book inspired by ‘Even In Arcadia’, featuring “25 extraordinary designs from Sleep Token’s enigmatic, groundbreaking and genre fluid career”.

The original ‘Even In Arcadia’ earned a glowing five-star review from NME, which noted: “‘Even In Arcadia’ shatters any pressure of expectation into oblivion, building on the bravery of its predecessor, sonically, while its lyrics reveal the most exposed version of Vessel we’ve seen yet. From Eden to Arcadia – and beyond – let the worship continue.”

Sleep Token also headlined Download Festival last summer, their first festival headline slot, and they gave a performance that KoRn later said “shut everybody up” who had any doubts about their ability to step up to the mark.

Fans of the band, meanwhile, are demanding that the reworked version of ‘Rain’ that was used in the The Game Awards’ ‘Hype’ trailer gets a full release.
