Take ownership of the work you do and be sure to build things that you have the full rights and ownership of. As you move companies or switch jobs you want to make sure that some of the time and effort you spend everyday can be taken with you and used when you need it, this will make you a valuable asset wherever you go and will allow you to retain some of the time and effort you dedicate into the projects you work on at your company. Work-load permitting, you could even start a business on the side while you are salaried. Working remotely makes this very easy and if it is in an industry related to your job a lot of skills can overlap which you can leverage to provide further success to yourself, the company you work for, and your side projects or businesses.
Be Humble
Give back. There will be many people that help you on your journey, make sure to spend the time to teach new team members and be as patient you can with them. Manifest the abilities and guidance from past mentors that have helped you and use the tactics that worked well for you to learn and grow when training co-workers, replacements, or junior members of your team.
