Team USA's men's hockey team came out strong and overpowered Canada to win 4-2 on Saturday in Beijing. U.S. captain Andy Miele was outstanding, as he accounted for two points and his third of the tournament. This wasn't exactly the Miracle on Ice again but still a very impressive effort by a bunch of American college players to beat a veteran Canadian team — many of whom have NHL experience.

Americans Lindsey Jacobellis and Nick Baumgartner teamed up for gold in the first-ever mixed snowboardcross. Competing in her fifth Olympics, Jacobellis won gold in the individual event earlier in the week. Baumgartner wins his first gold at 40 years of age, making him the oldest gold medal-winner in Beijing thus far.
