According to the order of protection: In early February, 2022; Ezra broke into Tokata’s friend’s house and stole Tokata’s computer, passport, driver’s license, car keys and cell phone.
Tokata spent three weeks detoxifying from the drugs they consumed at Ezra Miller’s farm. Traditional D/Lakota cleansing/renewal ceremonies were conducted to assist Tokata’s healing. It took ten grueling days for Tokata to be able to function on their own in some capacity. Tokata told their parents that Ezra Miller was using ketamine, and that Tokata was deeply impacted by Ezra Miller’s voodoo priest associate whom they’d visited while in New Orleans. Tokata expressed that Ezra told them that they (Ezra) had been raped when they were 14 years old. When Tokata’s mother asked them about the bruises on their body and face, Tokata stated that they would not answer Ezra so they (Ezra) held them down and kept hollering at them; another friend had to intervene and get Ezra off of Tokata. According to their parents, Tokata made it sound like this was somehow related to Ezra’s experience of being raped; as though Ezra was re-enacting their own personal trauma.
Ezra is aware of their own personal experience with grooming: In November 2018, while discussing the #MeToo movement, Ezra told The Hollywood Reporter “Cause, like, we all knew it was unacceptable when we fucking survived it. That’s what Hollywood is. I thought we all knew we were sex workers.”
Tokata told their parents that they wanted a new driver’s license, ID, bank card and phone. Chase Iron Eyes helped them through the process to obtain these items. Tokata then lied to their parents and told them they were going to stay with a friend in Brooklyn, NY to “focus on art, music and give space and time for healing.” Their parents agreed and an unknown person (possibly Ezra), booked Tokata a flight to the Big Apple. In actuality, Tokata was going to meet with Ezra, who arrived to retrieve Tokata within 24 hours of them landing in New York. They were spotted in Los Angeles in late February/early March before making their way to Hawaii where Ezra’s public crime spree began. Video footage obtained by TMZ shows Tokata at a night club with Ezra in Hawaii.
A month passed and on April 27, 2022; nervous father Chase Iron Eyes obtained an Order for Substance Abuse evaluation from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court. Tokata and Ezra then returned to Vermont where Chase attempted to serve the evaluation to Tokata with the assistance of the Bennington County Sheriff’s Department. Tokata avoided being served and fled with Ezra. Chase then successfully petitioned for a temporary guardianship (dated May 17th, 2022) and simultaneously petitioned to amend the substance abuse order to include a mental health evaluation. Tokata and Ezra fled from Vermont to Los Angeles.
May 8, 2022; During a phone call in which Tokata calls their mother Sara from Ezra Miller’s telephone, and with Ezra in the background, Tokata is mainly focused on questions about the court orders. Ezra takes over the phone call and accuses Tokata’s parents of emotional abuse, stating Tokata wants to be called Gibson and “they,” and that they are non-binary transgender – Sara advised Ezra that Tokata had never informed their parents of this and that Tokata is capable of speaking for themselves; adding that “Tokata is not Ezra.” According to their parents; Gibson is a nickname that Tokata had previously called everyone, including themselves, their family/friends, and their pets. Sara also advised Ezra that it was ironic for Ezra to make accusations of emotional abuse when Ezra had physically assaulted and given Tokata LSD in January, causing them to have a mental breakdown. The call abruptly ended when Ezra hung up on Sara.
It’s worth repeating that Tokata has previously advised their parents that they are non-binary, gay, queer – which their parents say they were proud of and have supported. Their family includes non-binary children who were already supported and have thrived within the family. The “winkte” - non-binary status; is known to have an elevated status in Lakota culture. According to their parents; to date, Tokata has not themselves advised their parents or childhood best friends that they are non-binary transgender. To some, it appears that Ezra Miller is not able to separate their own identity and delusions from Tokata; and that some portions of the ongoing narrative voiced by Ezra Miller are part of the delusional brainwashing and cult-like behavior that is occurring. This is all complicated by the alleged use of ketamine and LSD by Ezra Miller, who allegedly gave LSD to Tokata Iron Eyes, as witnessed by multiple bystanders; in addition to concerns about Tokata’s underlying mental health issues.
May 27th, 2022; Tokata’s parents found their approximate location in the Los Angeles area after being informed that they were “walking around like a zombie” with a bruise/scuff on their eye socket; without access to their phone, and that Ezra was not allowing Tokata to eat. Tokata’s friend also described having to ask Ezra’s permission for Tokata to go out to dinner.
May 29th, 2022; Chase and Sara knocked on the door of the residence where Tokata was reportedly staying. A young person named Rosie answered and, when asked if Tokata was present, Rosie paused and looked to Ezra for an appropriate response. Sara then began calling out for Tokata and Ezra responded, saying “Sara, we are not going to do this here.” Tokata appeared and was happy to see their mother, giving her a hug, but immediately became confrontational with their father over being served with the evaluation orders. After approximately 15 minutes of discussion (during which Tokata consumed cannabis, tried to hide empty alcohol containers, and ranted about the KKK, police, pedophiles and other conspiracies); Tokata, Ezra and Rosie fled from the residence. Chase Iron Eyes called the Santa Monica police for assistance in administering the temporary guardianship and mental health/substance abuse evaluations.
Before the police arrived, Ezra whispered something to Tokata and Rosie, and they started walking quickly down the road. Sara kept up with them. At one point, Tokata was limping due to the shoes they were wearing, stating that they had blisters on their feet. Sara gave Tokata her boots and they put them on, hugging their mother – shoeless, Sara kept walking with Tokata. Ezra whispered to Tokata again and they began running away from Sara. Tokata pulled out a knife, threatening their mother. Sara followed close behind, keeping up the pace while she continued to encourage Tokata to leave the situation with Ezra. Ezra made physical contact with Sara as Tokata and Rosie were getting into an Uber. Sara reached inside for Tokata, attempting to talk to them, when Ezra slammed the car door on Sara’s arms several times; injuring Sara. Ezra advised Tokata and Rosie that Ezra would “meet them there” and proceeded to walk rapidly down the street as the Uber left. Sara reported the assault by Ezra to Santa Monica police on May 29th, 2022. She has several large bruises on both her arms after being attacked by Ezra Miller.
