Eighty-six-ing a customer is when a restaurant decides to kick a customer out of their premises or stop serving them completely.

In one of the alleged incidents, Corden repeatedly told a server 'you can’t do your job' after he had begun 'yelling like crazy' in Balthazar.

The incident launched a wave of viral tweets discussing and joking about the serious consequences of Corden's alleged behaviour in the establishment.

Ryanair's social media team as always couldn't resist joining in on the discourse, by announcing Corden's ban from their airline with a photo of him covered by a general prohibition sign.

The tweet read: 'James Corden BANNED from Ryanair.'

Followers of the airline flocked to the comments section to have their say on yet another viral tweet from Michael O'Leary's company.

One person said: 'Thank goodness. I have a recurring nightmare that I am trying to sleep and he keeps asking me to sing John Denver's "I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane" with him.'

Another added: 'Imagine if James Corden just dropped “who the f**k is Ryan" and then closed twitter.'

While one person pointed out: 'Most people ban themselves from Ryanair to be honest.'

After receiving a phone call from Corden apologising for his behaviour, Mr McNally decided to allow the League Of Their Own star to return to his restaurant once more.

He explained: 'James Corden just called me and apologised profusely. Having f***ed up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances.'

'So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for nine months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not.

'But anyone magnanimous enough to apologise to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. All is forgiven.'
